Cody Carter
FITNES MANAGER AND PERSONAL TRAINER
NSCA certified, B.S. Kinesiology
“Hi, I’m Cody Carter, and I’ve been part of the Santa Cruz Power Fitness community since 2019.
The most common goals I help clients achieve include reducing chronic pain by improving movement, increasing competency with barbell movements like squats, bench press, and deadlift, and helping people look and feel stronger for their hobbies and activities outside the gym.
I work with ex-athletes who have nagging injuries, people new to the gym of any age, and individuals with busy schedules who prioritize staying healthy but need support to keep fitness a focus.
Outside of the gym, I played college basketball in Iowa, I’m always on the lookout for new movie recommendations, and I’m known for rocking fun socks.
My favorite part of this job is meeting and interacting with all kinds of cool, unique people.”

Megan Harrison
PERSONAL TRAINER
NASM Certified, B.S. Bio Engineering w/ minor Electrical Engineering
“Hi, I’m Megan, and I’ve been a personal trainer at Santa Cruz Power Fitness since 2022.
The most common goals I help clients achieve include rehabilitation and finding strength through old injuries, gaining muscle or losing fat to take control of their health, and helping athletes excel in their sports by improving speed, agility, and strength. I also teach people how to structure their nutrition and build a better relationship with food, especially those recovering from disordered eating.
I work with a wide range of clients, from high school students to older adults, and believe that at any age, people can move more confidently and improve their fitness.
Outside of the gym, I enjoy long walks in the forest, painting watercolors by bodies of water, and spending time with animals. My dream weekend includes naps in the sun, and if you bring your dog to the gym, we’ll instantly be best friends! My go-to coffee order is a decaf soy milk Gibraltar from Verve.
My favorite part of this job is helping clients grow more comfortable in their bodies. Everyone’s journey to body confidence is different, but seeing them reach that point is the best part of my work.”

“Hi, I’m Rico, and I’ve been a personal trainer at Santa Cruz Power Fitness since 2021.
The most common goals I help clients achieve include maximizing overall health, improving strength each week, and staying accountable with their fitness routine.
I work with a variety of clients, including bodybuilders, beginners looking to build strength, and those getting back into the gym after a break.
Outside of the gym, I enjoy Mexican and Vietnamese food, I’m not a fan of chicken—I prefer red meat—and although I’m introverted, working here has helped me open up.
My favorite part of this job is helping my clients find an escape from life's stress, making them smile, and helping them feel better about themselves.”
